9:32 am - Scary movies and Dreams
|
Ok, so I watched this movie the other night called "They Nest". I normally don't get freaked out by movies, but this one was about cockroach like bugs that bite you and inject you with a paralytic agent, and then while you are awake, but paralyzed, the big huge leader bug crawls in your mouth and lays eggs in your stomach. I was sitting there saying, "eww, eww, eww.." and trying to inch away from the TV. And now I have been having dreams about cockroaches ever since.

10:30 pm - Boston
|
Wheeeee! I am off to Boston in a few hours. I know I will have a great time once I get there, but I am dreading the drive. Especially the drive back. It's bad enough driving that far with others in the car, but by myself-ugh. Oh well, I have a bunch of CDs and a lot of soda, so I will manage.

So I'm watching this movie on Lifetime about how all these people spent three days and tons of money to save a little girl who fell down a well. And while I think this is wonderful that a life is saved, the thought comes to mind of all the kids who die in wars and due to violence and of starvation every day in this country and others. Who and what determines the value of one life over another?
